We offer dedicated hands-on training in our toxin and dermal filler courses using live models. In addition, we offer supplier specific courses to further customize your training experience. Our course trainers are the top practitioners in their field, each with many years of aesthetic and training experience. For 20+ years, we have trained thousands of doctors and nurses in both basic and advanced injection techniques.
Patricia Pezzano, BSN, RN
Founder, Head of Faculty
With 20+ years of experience in medical aesthetics, Patricia has acquired extensive knowledge in all aspects of aesthetic treatments. Patricia continues her learning through attendance at both international conferences and advanced training sessions. She leads both APT Injection Training and APT Medical Aesthetics, a full-service medical spa.
Patricia is dual-licensed as both an RPN and RN, and holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Nutrition and Nutraceutical Sciences. Continuous learning encompasses who she is, and she is delighted to utilize her knowledge to the benefit of her patients, colleagues and students.
Dr. Cathy Longley
Medical Director
Dr. Cathy Longley has been practicing Emergency Medicine since 1999 after obtaining her medical degree at the University of Western Ontario in 1996. She is currently on staff at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto and actively lectures at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Longley has been involved in the aesthetic field since 2008. As Medical Director at APT Medical, Dr. Longley reviews patient eligibility for aesthetic procedures, provides education and responds to patient inquiries. Dr. Longley actively injects and treats patients in all areas for their aesthetic concerns. Her professional affiliations include Fellow, Canadian College of Family Practice, College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and the Ontario Medical Association.
Dr. Anne-Marie Humniski
Medical Director
Dr. Humniski attended the University of Toronto in 1996 for medical school. She then went on to complete a residency in Family Medicine and a fellowship in Emergency Medicine at Western University. Dr. Humniski has 20+ years of experience in Emergency Medicine and she continues to work as a staff physician at Trillium Health Partners. In her role as Medical Director at APT, Dr. Humniski meets with clients to determine their suitability for various aesthetic procedures, while simultaneously ensuring that clients have a firm understanding of their proposed treatment plan. She is readily available to direct management of unexpected events and provide direction regarding safe aesthetic injection techniques.
Deborah Kellett, RN
Aesthetic Nurse Specialist
Deborah is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. For 7+ years, she has been the Full-Time Lead Nurse Injector and Managing Partner at Dr. Takhar’s Cosmetic Clinic. Deborah has experience in the Operating Room, Post Anesthetic Care Unit and the PACU.
She is a faculty member at Humber College and Centennial College with the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program and the Medical Esthetics for Nurses: Cosmetic Injectables Program. Deborah is also a member of the CNO, RNAO and CSASN.
Deborah has been an instructor with APT for 2+ years and enjoys sharing her knowledge and skills with other professionals. Deborah has experience with Botox, Xeomin and Dysport, as well as all HA-based fillers from Allergan, Merz and Galderma.
Tonya Earle, RPN
Aesthetic Nurse Specialist
Tonya graduated in 2003 from Centennial College’s Nursing Program and began her nursing career at Bloorview MacMillan, Canada’s largest children’s rehabilitation teaching hospital. She has been an Aesthetic Nurse Consultant and Trainer since 2004 and has worked with Patricia and APT’s BOTOX® Injection Training and Dermal Filler Courses for over 10 years. She has been trained by industry leaders and worked for several prominent plastic surgeons to skillfully administer cosmetic injectables including Botox and temporary and permanent soft tissue filler treatments. By working alongside Patricia at APT, Tonya has achieved a high level of technical expertise allowing her to train physicians and nurses across Canada and internationally on the most current injection techniques. Tonya has been working with Prollenium Medical Technologies since 2013 as their Aesthetic Clinical Educator. Tonya participates regularly in various industry meetings to ensure promotion of the best treatment options for clients.
Theresa Taylor, RN
Aesthetic Nurse Specialist
Theresa Taylor is a Registered Nurse, Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist and Medical Aesthetic Practitioner. Theresa began her nursing career at Humber River Regional Hospital, where she worked in Surgical Outpatient Clinic. She has also worked at Halton Healthcare Georgetown Site in Ambulatory Care and PACU.
In 2012, Theresa became an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner, after having graduated with honours from the Medical Aesthetic Nursing Program at Centennial College. For 7+ years, Theresa has worked for two prominent plastic surgeons as their Lead Advanced Cosmetic Nurse Injector. It is during this time she developed her passion for aesthetic injections, lasers and anti-aging skin care. She has experience with all neuromodulators, as well as HA fillers from Galderma, Allergan and Merz.
Chantal Ward, RN
Aesthetic Nurse Specialist
Chantal Ward is a Registered Nurse with over 25 years medical aesthetic experience. She is highly skilled in the areas of aesthetic lasers, advanced & non-invasive technologies, as well injectables.
Chantal has been employed by some of North America’s largest and most respected aesthetic laser manufacturers. Her experience as a Consultant & Trainer to Plastic Surgeons, Dermatologists, Nurses and Alternative Practitioners gives her a unique perspective on evolving technologies and injection techniques.
In addition to being a professor at Centennial College, Chantal Ward is a member in good standing with the following medical aesthetic associations: College of Nurses of Ontario, CANS, ASLMS, ASPSN, CSPSN, CAM.
Kelly Poworoznyk, RN
Aesthetic Nurse Specialist
Kelly has been a registered nurse for more than 35 years. When she joined Ancaster Dermatology in 2006, she found a specialty in which she truly shines – as a nurse injector. Kelly continues to further her knowledge by attending workshops and lectures, many by invitation only, on safe, advanced injection techniques. Kelly has the ability to quickly put you as ease, and will kindly and candidly work with you to help you reach your goals. Patients appreciate her perfectionism and eye for detail, never worrying about appearing "overdone." She specializes in achieving tasteful, natural-looking expressions with BOTOX® and dermal fillers.
Krista Brunetti
Krista’s goal is to educate and provide treatment to her clients so they feel knowledgeable about the services they are receiving—radiant, confident, and well-cared for. Safety is always her top priority, and her clinic environment reflects this through its commitment to hygiene, comfort, and elegance. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has over 20 years of experience in pediatric oncology as an RN at the Hospital for Sick Children, where she gained exceptional nursing skills while working in a fast-paced, acute-care environment alongside an incredible multidisciplinary team.
She has always had a personal passion for aesthetics—particularly skincare, makeup, and fashion. This passion inspired her to further her education with certification in aesthetic medicine through APT Injection Training, completing courses in neuromodulators, dermal fillers, advanced fillers, cannula techniques, and Radiesse. APT Medical Aesthetics in Oakville offers an internationally recognized certificate in toxin and dermal filler injections, and she is proud to be part of the APT training team. She follows the Infection Prevention and Control regulatory standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario and uses only Health Canada– and FDA-approved products. Her commitment to lifelong learning is reflected in her continued education through advanced training courses, certification modules, and in-services offered by leading pharmaceutical companies.
