One of these includes a sophisticated and intensive training course on the aesthetic use of toxin and dermal fillers for dentists and dental surgeons.

The Dental Training Course is a comprehensive program designed to equip dentists with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform safe and effective masseter neurotoxin injections and dermal filler lip injections. This course integrates theoretical foundations with practical hands-on training to ensure participants gain a thorough understanding of facial anatomy, injection techniques, patient assessment and safety protocols.

This course is designed for Licensed Dentists who are interested in toxin and dermal filler injection techniques that are within the RCDSO's scope of practice.

    Therapeutic indications for Temporomandibular Disorders.

  • Dermal Filler Injections (using a needle):

  • Note:

    If you hold a dental license from a jurisdiction outside of Ontario, it is important to be aware that the dental scope of practice may vary between provinces. While our course is aligned with the scope of practice for dentists in Ontario, please verify with your jurisdiction whether the scope of practice in your specific province differs from the regulations outlined by the RCDSO.

About This Course

  • Includes extensive online pre-course material with injection demonstration videos

  • APT arranges for a full day of live models for hands-on injecting

  • Maximum of 2 students per instructor

  • Includes 1 Day of Auditing: Students have the option to sit-in on 1 additional day of training for further skill revision

A Note To All Prospective Students

As of September 15th, 2023, it will be mandatory for students to complete all online course material in order to progress to hands-on training. 

Please ensure you give yourself enough time to complete all online course material when selecting your hands-on training date upon checkout.  

Requests for changing hands-on dates will only be accepted in emergency situations.

Patricia Pezzano, BSN, RN.

Founder, Allergan Nurse Faculty, Merz Nurse Faculty

With almost 20 years of experience in the aesthetic field, Patricia has acquired extensive knowledge in all aspects of aesthetic treatments. From the initial consultation, facial assessment, and the creation of a personalized treatment plan, down to the actual injections themselves. She continually upgrades her knowledge, both through clinical reading and reflection to training with the top injectors in the field. With a passion for training, she and her team at APT Injection Training have trained thousands of injectors over the past two decades. APT provides the trainees with intensive,pre course and hands-on personalized training combined with ongoing support to ensure their success in the field. Patricia is dual-licensed as both an RPN and RN and holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Nutrition and Nutraceutical Sciences.

Ada Shim, RN(EC), BScN, MN-NP.

Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner, MediSpa & Skin Clinic Director

Ada is a passionate and highly skilled Aesthetic Injections Specialist. She has worked alongside some of the most respected plastic surgeons in the industry and enjoys training other nurses and physicians on the art and medicine of cosmetic injections. Ada strives to provide her patients with natural, realistic results and creates treatment plans designed specifically to match their desires. Rather than use a “cookie-cutter approach”, she incorporates each patient’s preferences to deliver beautifully unique outcomes. She also works as a Nurse Practitioner at McMaster Children’s Hospital in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Outside of work, Ada enjoys spending time with her daughter and practicing Muay Thai, a form of Thai kickboxing.
