Learn how to inject Botox and Juvederm with an educational grant of $500 supported by Allergan.

Designed as a 2-day introductory program, this course is perfect for medical practitioners aiming to broaden their service offerings and establish a strong clinical foundation in facial aesthetic injection techniques. In addition to comprehensive pre-course online training modules, two days of immersive hands-on injecting on live patients will ensure a thorough base of knowledge to begin practicing. This course will ensure you develop the foundational knowledge and injection experience to begin integrating aesthetic medicine into your everyday practice. During the training, you will learn how to take a full-face treatment approach using both upper and lower-face injection techniques. Included in the course cost is the ability to audit/observe a future course to allow for further consolidation of information and techniques.

Treatment Areas You Will Learn in This Course:

This course is designed as an introductory course for Botox® and Juvéderm® injections using a needle.

  • Botox® Injections:

    Forehead, frown lines, Crow's Feet, nasalis, gummy smile, peri-oral lines, chin, platysmal bands, masseters, and more!

  • Juvéderm® Injections (using a needle):

    Cheeks, lips, chin, jawline, melomental lines, fine lines, and an introduction to the MD Codes.

About This Course

  • Includes extensive online pre-course material with injection demonstration videos

  • APT arranges for a full day of live models for hands-on injecting

  • Maximum of 2 students per instructor

  • Includes 2 Days of Auditing: Students have the option to sit-in on 2 additional days of training for further skill revision

A Note To All Prospective Students

As of September 15th, 2023, it will be mandatory for students to complete all online course material in order to progress to hands-on training. 

Please ensure you give yourself enough time to complete all online course material when selecting your hands-on training date upon checkout.  

Requests for changing hands-on dates will only be accepted in emergency situations.

Patricia Pezzano, BSN, RN.

Founder, Allergan Nurse Faculty, Merz Nurse Faculty

With almost 20 years of experience in the aesthetic field, Patricia has acquired extensive knowledge in all aspects of aesthetic treatments. From the initial consultation, facial assessment, and the creation of a personalized treatment plan, down to the actual injections themselves. She continually upgrades her knowledge, both through clinical reading and reflection to training with the top injectors in the field. With a passion for training, she and her team at APT Injection Training have trained thousands of injectors over the past two decades. APT provides the trainees with intensive,pre course and hands-on personalized training combined with ongoing support to ensure their success in the field. Patricia is dual-licensed as both an RPN and RN and holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Nutrition and Nutraceutical Sciences.

Deborah Kellett, BSc, RN.

Trainer, Allergan MD Codes Nurse Mentee

Deborah is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. For the last 7 years, she has been the Full-Time Lead Nurse Injector and Managing Partner at Dr. Takhar’s Cosmetic Clinic. Deborah has attended several aesthetic conferences including Allergan’s Top 100 Nurse Injectors in Canada and most recently the Expert Level Year 5 of MD Codes with Dr. Da Maio. Deborah’s nursing career began in the Operating Room and Post Anesthetic Care Unit. She has also held positions as a Nurse Educator in the PACU. Deborah received a certificate in Diabetes Education which inspired her passion for sharing her knowledge and skills with others. She is a faculty member at Humber College and Centennial College with the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program and the Medical Esthetics for Nurses: Cosmetic Injectables Program. Deborah is a member of the CNO, RNAO and CSASN. Deborah has been an instructor with APT for over 2 years and enjoys sharing her knowledge and skills with other professionals. Her teaching style focuses on giving novice and advanced learners clear, practical and replicable steps that produce confidence in learners. Deborah has experience with Botox, Xeomin and Dysport as well as all HA-based fillers from Allergan, Merz and Galderma.

Kelly Poworozynk, R.N.

Aesthetic Nurse Specialist, Trainer

Kelly has been a registered nurse for more than 35 years. When she joined Ancaster Dermatology in 2006, she found a specialty in which she truly shines – as a nurse injector. Kelly continues to further her knowledge by attending workshops and lectures, many by invitation only, on safe, advanced injection techniques. Kelly has the ability to quickly put you as ease, and will kindly and candidly work with you to help you reach your goals.
